ITEMS OF NOTE

Moving on to items of note,

B#8- Water Reclamation Bonds

Today we are looking to approve funds that will help upgrade our aging infrastructure including replacement of lift station equipment, treatment process improvements at our two water reclamation facilities and repairs to gravity sewer lines.

F#1-16, - Community Development Block Grant & Emergency Solutions Grants

Also on the agenda today, are a number of items that will allow us to leverage federal funds to help the most vulnerable members of our community.

This includes sixteen (16) agreements totaling more than $550,000 dollars in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) funds, to support critical programs and services provided by our non-profit partner agencies, including:

  • homebuyer education and counseling to help residents achieve their dream of homeownership;

  • case management and support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children and survivors of human trafficking;

  • outreach services, temporary housing, permanent supportive housing and shelter operations for those experiencing homelessness;

  • and identification and case management services to assist individuals on their path to financial stability and self-sufficiency.

We are grateful to these partners for helping advance our shared priority that every resident has a safe place to sleep and their basic needs are met.
