GENERAL ITEMS

2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon

Saturday, February 3, will be an historic day in downtown Orlando as we become the first city in the state of Florida to host the U.S. Olympic Team Trials Marathon.

We’re proud to welcome our nation’s elite male and female long-distance runners to compete for the chance to represent Team USA at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

An estimated 375 athletes will run through downtown Orlando and surrounding neighborhoods in just a couple of weeks. We hope that our city will show up to cheer them from the sidelines and don your best red, white and blue.

We want to thank our community partners and city staff for all their hard work in helping to get Orlando ready to host this prestigious event.

To learn more about the race, visit orlando2024trials.com. As with any large even there may be impacts to both event goers and those who are leaving or coming into the area. This website also has transportation information so you can plan ahead to avoid road closures, congestion, find parking, spectator locations and more.

Commissioner Burns Birthday

And speaking of fun events, at the end of this month we will be celebrating District 6 City Commissioner Bakari Burn’s birthday. Join us in singing happy birthday to Commissioner Burns.
