Downtown Recreation Center Ribbon Cutting
Tomorrow we are looking forward to joining Commissioner Rose for the ribbon cutting of the renovated Downtown Recreation Center. The facility will allow the City of Orlando to provide opportunities and resources to help young adults thrive, building on our work with the Parramore Kidz Zone.
World Heart Day Lake Eola CPR Training
Then on Sunday, September 29, starting at 9 a.m. Orlando Firefighters will provide free life-saving training with our Hands-Only CPR program at the Lake Eola Park’s Amphitheater in recognition of World Heart Day.

Moving on to items of note,
B#8- Water Reclamation Bonds
Today we are looking to approve funds that will help upgrade our aging infrastructure including replacement of lift station equipment, treatment process improvements at our two water reclamation facilities and repairs to gravity sewer lines.
F#1-16, - Community Development Block Grant & Emergency Solutions Grants
Also on the agenda today, are a number of items that will allow us to leverage federal funds to help the most vulnerable members of our community.
This includes sixteen (16) agreements totaling more than $550,000 dollars in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) funds, to support critical programs and services provided by our non-profit partner agencies, including:
