Through GreenUp the Parks Division uses volunteers to:
- Beautify neighborhoods, schools and other public areas through GreenUp design and plantings
- Educate school kids on the importance of caring for their facilities through their own volunteer efforts
- Work with neighbors and volunteer groups to enhance various parks throughout the city
- Assist in other areas of park operations
