Fire Station 6 – In the Air or on the Ground

• Originally built in 1979 inside the Orlando Executive Airport premises on East Robinson Street.
• Recently, construction began on a new Fire Station 6. Crews will remain in the current station until the new one is completed.
• The new fire station will be built at 501 Herndon Avenue and expected to be completed by Fall 2025
• Houses Engine 6, Tower 6 and 1 Rescue
• The new 15,913-square-foot station will be positioned in a more centralized location to serve the surrounding businesses and residential neighborhoods with a state-of-the-art facility.
