The Orlando Police Department is proud to host a seminar dedicated to our veterans. We recognize the valuable skills, discipline and dedication that veterans bring to the community and we are excited to present you with an opportunity to extend your service in a new and exciting role.

This one-day course offers veterans a unique chance to learn about the Orlando Police Department and explore new opportunities within the department in a classroom setting. This year's Veteran Symposium will cover the following topics: 

  • Criminal Investigations
  • Crime Center Operations
  • Overview of Specialized Units like SWAT, Motors, and K-9
  • DUI investigations
  • And more

The course will be held on November 2, 2024, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Orlando Police Headquarters, located at 1250 West South Street.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have previously served or currently serve in the US Armed Forces to participate. Please be advised that this is a free course, so seating is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
