Apply for a Business Tax Fee Exemption

Do you want to apply for a business tax fee exemption?

The City of Orlando provides fee exemptions for qualifying business owners.

Online

Step 1.Determine your eligibility

You must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • A veteran of the United States Armed Forces who was honorably discharged or the spouse or unremarried surviving spouse of such a veteran.
  • The spouse of an active duty military service member who has relocated to Orlando due to a permanent change of station order.
  • A person who is receiving public assistance (money paid on the basis of Title IV-E and Title XIX of the Social Security Act, temporary cash assistance or food assistance benefits received on behalf of a child younger than 18 who has an absent parent.)
  • A person whose household income is below 130 percent of the federal poverty level based on the current year’s federal poverty guidelines.

If you meet any of the above requirements and own a majority interest in a business with fewer than 100 employees, your business is exempt.
